Portraits
What can I say, I've got my hand in many different pots. Dancing was the first love of my life. I started my training in classical ballet at the age of 10 and never looked back. I am now well versed in many forms of dance, specializing in contemporary improvisation and Latin, and dabbling in swing, hip hop and even aerial acrobatics. I just love to move! I have always had an affinity for choreography, creating solos for myself since I was a teenager. I have been invited to perform my solo work in galas and art festivals in NYC and have many new projects in the works. Most recently I produced, directed, and choreographed my first full evening length work, Love Don't Come Easy, a contemporary/swing/acrobatic/b-boy/ballet. (Yes, I included everything!)
Ten years ago, I found myself struggling to make it as an artist in NYC (a truth I am not embarrassed to admit). ENTER FITNESS! The second love of my life. By a stroke of luck, I stumbled into a small gym in the Flatiron district of Manhattan, that ran an in-house training program for trainers. I was mentored by the best in the industry and ultimately, inspired to continue creating my own path as a personal trainer. I am nationally certified by NASM, and hold additional credentials in Nutrition, Kettle Bells, TRX, Yoga and Pilates. I founded my fitness company, Exercise Intention, in 2008, and I am proud to be an independent business owner in this great city!
Arts, crafts, and photography have always been a part of my life. I was behind the lens of a camera long before I was in front of it, and coming from my "do it yourself" family, making things is simply a way of life. Jewelry making and sewing are my real specialties, though I have certainly hammered a nail or two in my life. I try to make my style unique, creative and innovative, often using vintage materials to make new wonderful things. Project gallery and purchasing information are coming soon.
